Wyoming, MI -- Conference play in the OK Bronze started on Tuesday as the Huskies played the Wolves of Wyoming. The newest addition to the conference, replacing West Catholic. The game was initially dubbed as a double header, but was shortened to one due to weather and field conditions. Senior Jackson Shaver started on the bump for the Huskies, pitching a complete game and earned the Huskies their first conference win. A pitching duel throughout the game, due to high winds and cold temperatures, kept the game interesting and fast. Wyoming pitcher James Watkins also had a solid game, pitching a complete game and allowing just two runs. The Huskies and the Wolves will play a doubleheader on Thursday.
