Grand Rapids, MI -- After the recent departure of Dane Wysocki, John Dolce was named head coach of the 2015 FHN Huskies baseball team. Wysocki left the program in July and is currently an assistant for Hope College, where his son, Ryan, is playing. Wysocki was hired when the program was in shambles. He helped the program become a Grand Rapids area powerhouse. This past season, the Huskies had a young team, carrying just two seniors, eight juniors, six sophomores, and two freshman, and finished with a 12-18 record and lost first round of the district playoffs to Lowell. In early November, John Dolce was announced as the replacement for Wysocki. Dolce, who has been part of the program since Wysocki was hired, played college baseball at Aquinas College and also led Catholic Central to back-to-back State Title appearances in 1985 and 1986, winning in 1985. The Huskies hope to return 16 players from last season.
